Now, some of you might have no clue what water hardness is and didn’t realise water could have different hardness’s. Well, Wizard are here to tell you all you need to know about your water.
The best way to roughly detect what sort of water you have, is to look at the map shown below. Different parts of the country get their water supply from different places.
Hard Water
The harder your water is, the more likely it is that scale will form in your pipework, making it difficult for water to pass through, putting pressure on your pump and heater. To prevent scale from building in your tub, use our ‘Wizard ScaleAway’. This also works as a hardness decreaser. If you live in a place where the water is very hard, we recommend putting ScaleAway in your tub weekly. Another product you could use is our ‘Hot Tub Conditioner’. This is another great way to make your water feel soft and it coats your pipes in a conditioner, making them silky and easy for your water to pass through. Silky pipes make it nearly impossible for scale to form. As they say, prevention is better than cure.
Soft Water
If you have soft water, it can make it hard for chemicals to grab hold of your water, meaning you’ll have a lot of wasted chemicals floating in your water, unable to do anything. Therefore, we recommend using ‘Wizard Hardness Increaser’. You want your water to be in a medium state of hardness.
