Balboa/Pentair Durajet 2.0 HP 2 SPD Pump
Genuine modern replacement 2hp 2 speed Balboa Durajet pump designed specifically for use with hot tubs and spas. This Durajet pump also known as the Cascades is manufactured by Balboa. Balboa has many pump divisions and owns Pentair who manufacture the Sta-Rite range of pumps. This new replacement pump from Balboa uses a modern Balboa motor which can also be found on their Niagara model, this is then added to a Pentair Sta-Rite wet end to complete the built-up hot tub pump.
Over 5 years ago the original Durajet was discontinued and only the wet ends were available. Now with this new replacement model, finally the correct direct replacement spa pump can be fitted.
This Balboa/Sta-Rite Durajet pump is a direct replacement for the original Sta-Rite Durajet hot tub pump manufactured by Pentair, which is commonly found on Dimension One Spas, Hotsprings & Master Spas.
This Durajet model is a very efficient hot tub pump with excellent power performance and benefits from having a large heavy duty 56 frame sized motor. It can be easily recognised from its motor design and having a saddle bag style electrical box that hangs over each side of the motor with its start capacitors inside.
- This is a 2-speed pump, so the single high speed is used for JETS or Boost operation when bathing in your Spa or Hot Tub. The low speed is used for the spas heating and water filtration.
- Pump wet end connects to 2-inch plumbing unions on the inlet and outlet. Both connections have a 78mm outside thread diameter and you can use 2-inch flat gaskets to seal the connections.
- Pump wet end can be rotated from the standard 12 O’clock position to 3 O’clock or 9 O’clock position easily by removing the four bolts that attach the wet end to the motor.
- Wiring – This replacement Durajet spa pump is NOT supplied with a new cable so you will need to swap over from your old existing pump. You will have four wires, two of them are live for high and low speeds (Red, Brown or Black) so make a note when installing. Neutral (Blue or White) and Earth (Green).
